Mercilon?

Hey,

I was just wondering if any of you have tried Mercilon 20 and how you got on with it? i have been recommended to try it but wanted to see what you girls think first. It does say in the leaflet (which worried me) "Some Mercilon users have reported the following side effects, altho they are not necessarily caused by Mercilon...fibroids or endometriosis may get worse". So a lil concerned about that, what do you think?

Sorry this will be long. I had problems with irregular bleeding when i was 16 but docs said i was too young to have endometriosis. I eventually changed docs and demanded something was done. They said they'd do a laporoscopy when my periods when from 2 and a half days to 7 (i know for some people thats not a lot) but they expected to find nothing. How wrong were they they found endometriosis on my left side and i had laser treatment on the same day, this was followed by 3 months of zolodex...

Hi girls, sorry me again....
I just have a quick question... After recently getting my definative endo diagnois (a lot of ?endo but finally a defo endo!) the doc wants me to go onto zolodex... he said that it can only be given for 6 months, my questions are
How quick will i notice an improvement?
How long do the effects last?
Whats next after the 6 month course?
Sorrrrryyy girls shoulda asked the doc but i was sooo relieved i was just mumbling to him!

Zoladex and weight gain

I am about to start 4- 6 months of zoladex. I last did it 9 years ago and really piled on weight.
I am overweight already so cant really afford to do that again.

What is everyones experience of weight gain and has anyone managed to successfully lose weight while on it??

Hi girls

I had a lap for extensive endo in February. I am now on Provera tablets and will finish them in mid December. I have to say, it has been 8 months of period free and pain free bliss. It's a bit of a miracle. But, I am unsure what to expect when I come off them. I know the everyone's experiences vary, but I have absolutely no idea what to expect.
1. Will my periods return immediately?

Heavy Bleeding on Zoladex and Livial

I had my first Zoladex injection in July 2009 and after a week I started to bleed. This was like a normal period bleed but within 2 weeks it was so heavy that I had to go to A&E. I am now only 1.5 weeks off of my 5 Zoladex injection and I have bled every day since then. This can vary between a light bleed and a period bleed with only 4 days of respite throughout the whole treatment. hi all,
Has anyone had so many side effects with zoladex that they have decided to stop it? i'm meant to have another one monday morning, but im not sure.
so far i've had a full blown period whilst on it, having to go to the hospital to get a pain relief injections, as the pain was so bad. constipation and feel sick all the time, working through boxes of motilium and packets of ginger nuts.also had migrains, forgetfulness and stomach disconfort as well as waking up at night...

Hi, I came off the Depo in August due to side effects and went on to microgynon 30mg straight away. I was initially told to run just 3 packs together and then go from there, but at my appointment to get my repeat prescription the nurse said I could keep running them together until I started to get breakthrough bleeding, then stop for a week, then carry on.

I stopped the Decapeptyl after 2 months because the side affects were too severe, I was taking it to attack the endo in my chest, abdomen etc and in the hope it might kill off the Ovarian Remnant I have. None of this happened.

hi all this is going to be short, but i always swefre by zoladex it really helped last time. startted another course last month due to have my second jab in about week and half, have hads no bleeding or spotting even when i had my first one last month.
then last night i had really heavy bleeding and stomach pains, sickness, and migraines. took all me meds but still in pain dispite this. in my opinion so far ive never had a period on zoladex. did anyone else get this?

I'd be very interested to hear your experiences of it as have been reading Nicola Allans story from the main website where she is getting SHB injections to block pain. I'm wondering if this is a way for me to go as my mum said she had her menopause at 45-46 and at the age of 39 now I'm thinking that if I can hold out for a few more years then I can avoid having a hysterectomy as when I was on the zoladex even with HRT I was only a few steps away from falling into a deep depression...

hi all went to my appointment yesterday, to learn how to do my own self catherterising and im finding it really hard. just wondered if anyone could give me any tips or advice?

im drinking less so i dont have to do it that offen as it hurts, but i shouldnt be worried about drinking! i even brought some instillage gel (three off) which cost about £2.80 each to help. gunna try and get to the walk in clinic tommorow to see if there give me some on prescription.

I had a laparoscopy and diathermy 2 years ago, at the Whittington after having had problems for 13yrs. My endo has now returned with a very painful endometrioma. I've been asking my GP to refer me for the last six months with no joy. Today I saw a different GP (as I ended up in A&E on Monday) and she is going to send me a list of hospitals that have Endometriosis depts along with waiting times. Can anyone recommend an NHS hospital/surgeon in London? I can't afford to go private.

Hi there. I have mild endometriosis, they say mild but its so bloody painful, the pain is definitely not mild. Anyway, I would like information on zoladex, mainly what is it used for? does it control pain? and does it stop your periods? I've never heard of it until today and its not quite clear. I've tried looking on websites but it doesnt really tell me what I want to know. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
