Urgent advice needed re: gynae app

I have had the symptoms of endometriosis now for a few months, which include:- severe back and lower abdominal pain, heavy & irregular periods and bleeding from both my front & back passage. I started my periods when I was 10 and always been lucky and never had any issues with pain untill now. I cant even walk with this pain and on 4 different medications.

Hi Everyone,

I was admitted to hospital last week with severe abdo pain and fever. It was thought to be appendicitis but when they did a laparoscopy they found 3 small deposits of endometriosis on the 'pouch of douglas' (as well as a fibroid on the outside of my uterus). The endometriosis had been bleeding and caused a lot of inflammation. So they washed out the fliud and bood etc and the Gynae surgeons came and had a look and said it didn't need any intervention at this...

I'm new to the board so hello to all you lovely ladies!

About me: 22 years old. Started periods at age 14. Never had problems until now.

For the last two months i've been having pelvic pain. Ladies (and any men reading), I just want to say 'thank you' so much for all the comments I've read on the message boards and this site in general - it feels like I've found somewhere I can really talk through what I'm experiencing and not have to think of euphemisms to describe all the symptoms! Hi Girls! I am new and looking for some women that are knowledgable about what helps and what doesn't! I am 26 and my endo symptoms are new- and growing increasingly worse over the last year. I finally took to using Tylenol with codeine(left over from a dental surgery!) and staying home to deal with pain. My periods are short- three days and not particularly heavy but lots of clotting and the pain is unbearable no matter what I do.

Hi all, this isn't for me, but for a friend. She's not had periods now for over a year, since she came off the pill (her last period was August 2008); she's come off a different pill before and they returned straight away, so was concerned. After numerous GP visits and blood tests, she was finally referred for a TVS, and has been told that she had numerous cysts all over both ovaries, and also fluid surrounding one which could possibly be from a burst cyst.

Ive been having period problems even before cycles began age 15 half diagnsoed with dsymenhreoa pain so abd would faint,pain onto pill age 16.
some releif not alot.
off pill age 30 plus to give body break after going back on it age 29 pre wedding after having again vomitting diarhoea fainting due to period pain,heavy bleeds.

Just a quick update. I was referred to a gynae by my Dr. I managed to get an appointment on 15th (my DH gets health cover with work, so it means I can go private), and was really worried in case he wanted to do an internal exam (am on my period) or blood tests. He did want to do an internal, but was really good about things and chatted to me to try and make me feel a bit more comfortable. No blood tests though. Phew.

as i have said in another thread i found out 2 weeks ago after my surgery i have endo. i wasnt aware that there are different levels of it until i did a little resurch. how can i find out what level i have before i go for my follow up appointment in 6-8 weeks?

am new on here but u all seem lovely and i needed to vent a bit! was only diagnosed 2 months ago after lots of problems for over 3 years and my doc insisting it was just normal for us women to be in pain and moan. i has since lernt that i have pco endo and adhesions on my bowel so not great or normal really. feeling very low as had appt on fri last week and the consultant was late and then sent me home with no more information help or ideas on pain relief as they wanted...

I had a lap in august and despite having many symptoms of endo the consultant said he couldn't find any. He wanted to make an appointment to see me in 6 months but i fought it and he eventually agreed to try me on a course of prostap for 3 months. Hey i am new to this forum, Back in august i was diagnosed with endo after a lap, apparently i have adhesions around my womb. I have had ongoing problems since i started my periods at 13. In some ways i feel relieved but also scared about my fertility. I was in hospital over the weekend as they think i have PID also, does anyone know much about this? Following a 5 month wait for an internal scan I have decided that a further three months to wait for an initial consultation with my doctor is to long. I will probably have a laparoscopy when I'm an OAP.

I have booked myself in privately at the Portland Clinic with Dr Ertan Saridogan. Having read other posts I think I know what I should be asking about. I think the doctor may ask me about what treatment I want...
