I was admitted to hospital last week with severe abdo pain and fever. It was thought to be appendicitis but when they did a laparoscopy they found 3 small
deposits of endometriosis on the &#39;pouch of douglas&#39; (as well as a fibroid on the outside of my uterus). The endometriosis had been bleeding and caused
a lot of inflammation. So they washed out the fliud and bood etc and the Gynae surgeons came and had a look and said it didn&#39;t need any intervention at

new- and growing increasingly worse over the last year. I finally took to using Tylenol with codeine(left over from a dental surgery!) and staying  home to

			<description><![CDATA[ Hi all, this isn&#39;t for me, but for a friend. She&#39;s not had periods now for over a year, since she came off the pill (her last period was August 2008);
she&#39;s come off a different pill before and they returned straight away, so was concerned. After numerous GP visits and blood tests, she was finally
referred for a TVS, and has been told that she had numerous cysts all over both ovaries, and also fluid surrounding one which could possibly be from a burst

Just a quick update.  I was referred to a gynae by my Dr.  I managed to get an appointment on 15th (my DH gets health cover with work, so it means I can go
private), and was really worried in case he wanted to do an internal exam (am on my period) or blood tests.  He did want to do an internal, but was really good
about things and chatted to me to try and make me feel a bit more comfortable.  No blood tests though.  Phew.
