Do you advise having Dental work during your period?

Hi ladies

Just a quick question. I'm still going through dental work, a root canal to be precise, it's just been dragging on as my dentist has cancelled my appts. I've cancelled one 'cos of endo pain and then we had the xmas break! So hopefully i should get treated this week but started my blasted period!

Have had the usual awful pain but surprisingly haven't had much blood this time. Would you recommend...

Advice needed!! Feel such an odd ball...

How do relationships last through this? How do your men cope with endo? Dh told me our marriage is in serious issues yesterday and some of it is boiling down to endo and the depression endo is giving me. He just thinks of me as negative and miserable now. How do i get him to understand that chronic pain does this? I have given him the option of leaving as i love him and want him to be happy and not snowed under with my medical problems. Hi Everyone,

I've just been looking at my hospital discharge letter and it states that the main diagnosis after my op was LUTS. Does anyone else suffer with this?

Periods have vanished

My periods have gone AWOL and I'm getting worried now. I came off the pill in september for a variety of reasons - I was having constant breakthrough bleeding, and I just felt it wasn't suiting me anymore (had been on it on and off for about 12 years overall).

I had a bleed at the end of the last packet as usual, and then a 'normal' period 37 days later. But since then nothing, am now on cd77 and no period. Am still in a lot of pain as I've found my endo...

Just a quick question - after an op 4 weeks ago I was prescribed diclofenac 50mg and was wondering what the difference is between this and mefenamic acid 500mg (and which one is stronger) - sorry if it is a dull question- I try to avoid the acid as it gives me indigestion but it works quite well for pain - love J xx

Hi Ladies, I havent really been too bad of late up until December when things have really kicked off again. I had my 5th lap in Feb 09 which untangled my right ovary from my bowel and they cleared up lots of endo and adhensions, since then I had been fairly Ok and seemed to be getting on with it OK. Hi i have had a rough 6 months with work and endometriosis, just wanted to know if anyone has had trouble with employers and what they did or would do about it?

Back home after my op

Hi All,

Well I had my urethra dilation and cystoscopy this morning. Apparantly my bladder looks normal but they had to do the dilation.
I came out of theatre at 12.30 and they took me up to the ward. Lol there were no beds for females and so I had to recover in a chair in the waiting room surrounded by people who were waiting for ops and there families. I was so embarrassed.
By 4.30 I was in agony. I had been drinking all afternoon but was unable to wee.
The problem...

Apologies in advance for this big moan......
I had a Lap in May which turned out to be a 3 hour in theatre ordeal and then a painful 8 weeks off work recovering.
I have severe and extensive endo and adhesions. They removed the endo and freed up the adhesions.
I have been on zoladex ever since but had to come off it 2 months ago due to side effects.
My period has started today and im in agony, i've had about 4 days of pain and bloating prior to...

Recurrent Thrush

Hello ladies

Hope you've all had a lovely chrismas.
Im struggling witha lot of thrush at the minute. Im getting it at least every month and sometimes have to take 2-3 of the oral capsules to get rid of it.
Are endo ladies more prone to thrush? Does anyone else suffer from this too?

Also does anyone have any ideas how i can prevent it from reoccuring or treat it?

Sorry this might be abit long so bear with me please...I went for my appt with the gynae consultant yesterday after having been referred back to the hospital for endo (i was diagnosed 7 years ago and was pain free for the last 5 years til about 6 months ago). I had waited 8 weeks for the appt, my GP had written to them asking that i be seen sooner as was in so much pain but they refused. how long can you have zoladex for? (or other preprations)

hi all, ive noticed on the board that zoladex and similar preprations vary in how long you can take them for. this year i had a six month course and the had a 3month course which just finished last monday. when i went to my gp whos meant to specialise (sp) in gyne about chasing up my appointments he asked about my endo, said i had just finished another 3months-to which he asked why only three months why cant you carry on with it?

so know im confused, how long have people been on...

Hello ladies. Long time no see!

I have been lucky enough to have had a break from endo for the past 6 months. It has settled right down for now, so I am making the most of it while it lasts. I think of you all often, and am amazingly grateful for the advice and support I have received here. It has been fantastic.

I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and hope that you are all as pain-free as possible.
