Hi sweetie. Been here 5 yrs so don't remember you. Sorry to hear you are in so much pain, especially after going thru major surgery. As you can see, there
is a dedicated area for hyst discussion as well as the general areas, so I would post there as well to increase your chances of a reply. Is your gp helping
with the pain management, could you ask to be referred to a pain clinic. They have made quite good progress in pain control over the last few yrs. Don't
know what else to suggest, just wanted to say hi & send a cyberhug.

Hi Anglpink,
Its lovely to see you post on the board. I am so sorry that you are still in such horredous pain after going through so much & I really sorry you are getting no help. Is there any chance you can get some insurance sorted so you can get some help? I wish there was more I could say to be more helpful but will send you a big (((hug))). There are still lovely ladies around from when you used to be around on here and theres lots of lovely new ladies too. Remember we are all here for you! I am still around although not as much these days as I used to be. Slightly more recently as I am on Prostap and had a lap 4 weeks ago where lots of endo was found! I am due to qualify from university in 2 months as a Children's Nurse and will be moving to London in September to start my new job as a nurse and move in with my boyfriend so life is exciting and busy at the moment! There are ladies on here who have also had a hyst and are still really suffering so I hope they can maybe offer you some advise or at least some kind words so you know that you are not alone. Thinking of you AP! Take Care, Love Jacqui xxx |

Hiya Anglpink,
Lovely to hear from you again, there are still a few of us here who remember you and like Jacqui says, we have a few new ladies too. I am so sorry to hear you are in so much pain still. I would make an appointment to see your GP and see if they can help you. You certainly shouldnt be left to suffer in so much pain with no-one to help you. Sorry I cant give much more constructive advice. Take care of yourself hun. |

Nice to see that some of the ladies I knew are still in here.
Thanks for the advice. As far as seeinga GP, no insurance, no help. All they see is the insurance cards. You can be a millionaire. All they see is that card. I live in the US. Last time I saw my GP, I had hurt my arm real bad. Don't know what I did, it was painful. He looked at, hmm, well, think its a torn cartlidge. That was it. The doctor did tell me, I am hosed, till I am 62, old enough to get medicaid, or whatever. If I had insurance, they would had taken Xrays, ultra sounds, physical theraphy. Also, I mentioned I had real bad chest pains a year ago. Nothing was done about it. As some of you know I am divorced now. I didn't come out of my divorce very well. I get alimony. But I have more years of it, then that is it. No job. I get sick so easy. When I have a bad bout of pain, I can be sick as long as 6 weeks. Right now, I have been sick for 3 weeks from a bad bout of pain. It takes a lot out of me. God, I feel so ahamred. Any way, Thanks for letting me back in here. Hi Eeyore,
I was so happy to see your response. I have tried to post this, X's 3 now. So, "ONE MORE TIME", as my grandson, Rocky would say. Anyway, Deirdre, had another little boy 3 years ago, this November, Aidan, who is full of activity. Just split his head the other day climbing a cooler, slipping hitting the back of his head on the stove in the kitchen. They had to put clamps in his head, he would sit still for the stitches. She had a beautiful little girl last August, Charlize. She looks just like her Momma. Deirdre had problems after the 2nd child. She kept complaining of pain. Her GYN, kept saying there was nothing there, then she got pregnant with her 3rd child, started seeing another, GYN, when she was about 4 or 5 months along. He found a heonia in her C-section scar. Nothing could be done about it, being too risky while pregnant. She had a triple surgery, when she had her baby. C-section, tubal, and the heornia. The doctor who did the heornia surgery, said the heornia, could return. I have reservation about this doctor, EL-Quack-O! He is the same one, 2 months before my hyster, that insisted, the pain I was having was in my head. Insisted on me going thru physical theraphy, this was after all the tornment I put myself thru, in deciding to have the hyster done. Deirdre, knows how I feel about this Dude. Any, Rocky is in the first grade now and no front teeth. Nice seeing you're still here, Eeyore. AP |

Hi Anglpink
Good to see you again, but so sorry the hysterectomy hasn't brought you the improvement you'd hoped for. I'm still here, still got active endo, despite total hyst 16 years ago. Diagnosed with Ovarian Remnantr Syndrome in 2004, 2 surgeries since, plus 4 years of Zoladex and Arimidex (no add-back). And still the endo spreads, from the pelvic mass and vaginal vault, to include bladder and bowel, diaphragm, liver, ureters and now kidneys. On masses of painkillers. January 2007 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, so am also going to hospital regularly for consultations with rheumatologists, OTs and physios. No longer the skinny dynamic A+E nurse, but at least I get to spend time quilting, despite the orders of my OT! Really hope things pick up fpr you soon. We visited the US last year, flying to Chicago, spending time (and Independence Day) there, then heading north across Wisconsin to see other friends who are located there for 3 years. Although I know the East Coast well, it was good to explore new scenery, and Chicago really has a cool atmosphere. Plus great shopping! Hoping to celebrate our Silver Anniversary in 2011 by driving from Chicago to the West Coast, probably avoiding LA! Whereabouts are you? Love your country and your people. Love from Buttercup |

Oh Buttercup!!
So happy to see you are still about. Not happy with what you are going thru. Have a feeling I may be in the same boat as you. But, since, I lack Health insurance, or any kind of health care, I am with out, any kind of help. On top of that, the state I live in, has poor medical specialists. They don't care, and you are better off to stay away from them. The pain, I am today, is burning, feels like I am being peeled inside. My intestines are so messed up. The Colon is always inflamed and hurting. One thing I am able to get some pain meds. Then I have to fight to get that from the Doctors. I go North, where I am orignally from to see my doctor. He will only do so much for me, once again, I have no Health care of any kind. Speaking of States, Chicago, is in the state, that my fiance's parents live in. Infact not far from Chicago. They live about, an hour Drive from there. They live in Lockport. It is a beautiful state. We are heading that way to see his parents the end of this month. We will be doing a little show in a restraunt for them there. We live about 400 miles from there. Thanks for letting me know you're still about. Nice hearing from ya. Love Ya AP |
